12 Days Detailed Itinerary: “FROM RIFT VALLEY TO SOULTAN ISLAND”

DAY 1 NAIROBI
On arrival into Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our representative and transfer to Ngong House or House of Waine, located under the shadow of Ngong hills in Karen. Renowned for fine decor and quiet location. It is close to the Giraffe Centre, Nairobi National Park, Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and arts & crafts centre.

DAY 2 & 3 NAIROBI / LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast drive in Lake Naivasha, drive slowly down into the Great Rift Valley through the verdant flower growing zones of Oserian. Arrive in time for lunch at Chui lodge. In the afternoon discover the beauty of Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary, possibility to do day and night game drives, boat ride, sundowners, bush breakfast, nature walk or just relax etc.
Overnight at Chui lodge or Kiangazi house.

DAY 4 & 5 NAIROBI / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast and bush breakfast, you will be collected by a private charter plane from Oserian airstrip and transferred to to Amboseli national park or Chyulu Hills. You will be collected upon arrival from the airstrip and depart with game drive en-route to Tortilis camp or Oldonyo Wuas, where you will be greeted by the overpowering beauty of Africa’s largest standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tortilis Camp consists of 17 traditional en-suite tents with spacious verandahs. While Oldonyo Wuas occupies a spectacular free and untouched ecosystem between Tsavo and Amboseli, consist of 7 en suite cottages. Activities include game drives, bush meals, sundowners and cultural visits.

DAY 6, 7 & 8 AMBOSELI / MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your Safarilink scheduled flight, departing at 09h05 to Wilson, where you will connect with the scheduled Safarilink flight at 10h00 to the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara offers a true wildlife experience, one that is hard to duplicate anywhere else in the world. You can stay at any of the most exclusive lodges / camps. Cottar’s 1920 is elegant white style tents and traditional luxury. Saruni is intimate cottages with luxurious interiors and Italian fittings; Richard’s Camp is a traditional tented camp in true safari style with modern surprises or Elephant Pepper Camp, Mara Explorer has 10 luxurious tents decorated in a distinctive Explorer style which brings you back to nature, no permanent structures, just the sights and sounds of the bush. The activities available include game drives, breakfasts out on the savannah, sundowners and guided bush walks.

DAY 9, 10 & 11 LAMU ISLAND / KIPUNGANI / MANDA
After breakfast and an early morning game drive you will be transferred to the airstrip to meet the Safarilink flight to Wilson Airport, departing at 11h00, arriving at 12h15. You will connect with the 13h45 Safarilink flight to Lamu. On arrival in Lamu at 15h30, you will be greeted by your host and transferred by boat to Manda Bay or Kipungani Explorer. The boat ride is approximately 20-30 minutes. Manda Island is an unspoiled island of the Lamu archipelago. Here your options include relaxation, water sports, and pampering. Manda Bay has 16 cottages located on miles of uninhabited beach, while Kipungani Explorer a place for fresh air, consist of 14 chalets with luxurious netted beds. all in keeping with the local landscape, en-suite bathrooms and verandah’s overlooking the ocean. The activities are endless and include water-skiing, windsurfing and deep sea fishing. For those that prefer a less energetic holiday, board Manda Bay’s private 60ft “Utamaduni” dhow and let the dhow’s sails unfold and sail you off to some of the best snorkeling in the area. Manda Bay & Kipungani offers its guests the freshest catch straight from the sea; fresh crab, prawns, lobster and calamari.

DAY 12 DEPARTURE
You will spend the morning relaxing, walking, soaking up the sun, lunch before you head to the airstrip to connect with the 16h00 Safarilink flight to Nairobi Wilson airport. Upon arrival at about 18h00 our representative will transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel or to the international airport for your outbound departure flight back home.
